Duris Cards is a turn-based battle card game. Here's all you need to know:
Build a deck of 30 cards in the Decks page
Start a game by clicking Play vs AI or Play vs Human
Each turn: Draw a card, get mana, play cards from your hand
Play cards by clicking them (costs mana - blue number)
Attack with minions by clicking them, then clicking a target
Win by reducing the enemy hero's health to 0!
💡 Tip: Start with low-cost cards (1-3 mana) so you can play them early!
🎯 Objective
Reduce your opponent's health from 30 to 0 before they do the same to you!
💎 Mana
You start with 2 mana and gain one crystal each turn (max 10). Spend mana to play cards. Unspent mana is lost at end of turn.
👤 Minions (Green Frame)
Creatures that stay on the board. They have Attack (damage dealt) and Health (damage they can take).
Summoning Sickness: Can't attack the turn they're played (💤 icon)
Board Limit: Maximum 7 minions per side
Click a ready minion to select, then click target to attack
✨ Spells (Blue Frame)
One-time effects that happen immediately. All 433 spells have working effects!

⚔️ Weapons (Red Frame)
Equip to your hero to attack. Has Attack power and Durability (uses before breaking).
⚔️ Combat
Click minion with green glow to select attacker
Click enemy minion or hero to attack
Both deal their attack damage to each other simultaneously
Minions at 0 or less health die
🛡️ Taunt
Enemies MUST attack Taunt minions first. Protects your other minions and hero. High-health minions (5+ HP) have Taunt.
⚡ Charge
Can attack immediately when played (no summoning sickness). Great for surprise damage!
🔰 Divine Shield
Blocks the first instance of damage completely. Epic and Legendary minions may have this.
👁️ Stealth
Cannot be targeted by attacks or spells until it attacks. Loses stealth after first attack.
💚 Lifesteal
Heals your hero for the damage dealt. Great for sustaining in long games.
☠️ Poisonous
Destroys ANY minion it damages, regardless of health. Even 1 damage kills!
🌀 Windfury
Can attack TWICE each turn. Doubles your damage potential!
😈 Sinister
Evil-aligned minion. Gains +1 Attack permanently when it kills an enemy minion. Build around aggression!
😇 Righteous
Good-aligned minion. Heals your hero for 1 HP whenever it attacks. Sustain in combat!
💨 Evasion
Has 25% chance to completely dodge incoming attacks. High variance, high reward!
🔒 Soulbound
Cannot be silenced, transformed, or stolen by enemy effects. Protected from removal!
💀 Undying
Returns to your hand when destroyed (once per game). Hard to remove permanently!
🐉 Dragonkin
Dragon-related creature. Benefits from dragon synergy effects and buffs.
💚 Healer
Restores 1 HP to ALL friendly minions at end of your turn. Keep your board healthy!
💀 Deathrattle
Effect triggers when this minion is destroyed. Plan around deaths! Undead minions often have deathrattle synergies - effects that benefit from deathrattle triggers.
💎 Rarities
Common (Gray): Basic cards, up to 2 copies in deck
Rare (Blue): Better stats, up to 2 copies
Epic (Purple): Powerful effects, up to 2 copies
Legendary (Orange): Unique powerful cards, only 1 copy allowed!
🏷️ Tribes
Some minions belong to tribes (Beast, Dragon, Demon, etc.). Future cards may have synergy with specific tribes!
⭐ Elite
Powerful named creatures from the DURIS MUD world. These are notable bosses and NPCs!
🔄 Mulligan
At the start of each game, you get a chance to replace cards in your starting hand:
Starting Hand: First player draws 3 cards, second player draws 4
Replace Cards: Click cards you don't want to swap them for new ones
Strategy: Mulligan expensive cards (5+ mana) - you want playable early cards
One Chance: Replaced cards go back in deck, you can't get them back
📚 Deck Building
Decks need 30 cards
Max 2 copies of any card (1 for Legendaries)
Include a mix of mana costs (mana curve)
Balance minions, spells, and weapons
🎭 Hero Classes & Skills
Each class has a unique Hero Power (2 mana ability usable once per turn):
⚔️ Warrior - Armor Up! Gain 2 Armor. Durable fighter with weapons.
🔮 Mage - Fireblast Deal 1 damage to any target. Spell damage master.
✨ Priest - Lesser Heal Restore 2 health to any character. Sustain & buffs.
